Here are some common questions/answers about our Library Client and App.

 

Q. Getting error that says "System Error: The program can't start because MSVCP140.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

A. If reinstalling doesn't fix the problem, you can install the "Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015" from Microsoft at the following link, that will fix the problem: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145.  If that doesn't work, installing the x86 version should fix these errors.

 

Q. Where can I find the key for my installation?

A. There is a link in the program where it asks for the key that you can click on, which will take you to the right place. Or you can manually go to https://www.drivethrurpg.com/account_edit.php

 

Q. Having problems in downloading products correctly.

A. In order to get the client working correctly, you will need to follow the steps below.

1. Uninstall the client. 
2. Open a file explorer window. 
3. Enter "%APPDATA%\OneBookShelf\DriveThruRPG\" (without the quotes) into the address bar. 
4. Delete the file library.dat. 
5 Re-install the new client, you may find the link to it here. Be sure to run the exe file as an admin:  https://watermark.drivethrurpg.com/DriveThruRPG-setup-win.exe
6. Open the desktop client app and refresh library.

If you still run into problems, please contact us using the Contact Us button at the bottom of the home page.  We will need to know what kind of error you are getting and if there is an error message. You can reveal the error message by clicking on the circle with a ! in it next to the retry button. Screenshots are always helpful. Please also provide us with your computer OS and its version and the application log which you can find by going to: %APPDATA%\OneBookShelf\DriveThruRPG
